See Hartlepool during the 1960s as captured by legendary photographer John Bulmer before he shot to fame with his iconic images of the north for the Sunday Times magazine.

Never shown in the town before, the photographs Bulmer took sixty years ago provide a fascinating record of the town during one moment in time.

A British Museum Touring Exhibition
18th May - 24th August

Drawing attention: emerging artists in dialogue presents some of the most compelling and talented artists working in contemporary drawing, displayed alongside highlights from the British Museum prints and drawings collection.

Along with the works which range from  Édouard Manet to  Sin Wai Kin, will be a selection from Hartlepool’s own fine art collection chosen by our Young Producers and brand new work created by students from the Northern School of Art.

Immerse yourself in the stunning work of Eunice Routledge.  Inspired by seascapes and landscapes, her exploration of the natural world is transformed into evocative renderings through print and onto canvas.
