Paint on wood with old bike wheel After my first visit to Hartlepool in mid June 2022, I met up with some fellow creative types in the famous Bridge Hotel in Newcastle. Alfons, printmaker extraordinaire, said he was sure Ridley Scott's early film Boy & Bicycle was filmed in Hartlepool. I got home and investigated and indeed it was. I've since tried to recreate that film several times on my cheap gumtree bike and I was lucky enough to buy the actual front wheel from the 'boy's' bike...at least that's what the stallholder at the flea market said.
