Screenprint
A7 colour screenprint poster for a wonderful film, by a young Ridley Scott. French Nouvelle Vague meets Teesside cinema verite. I asked Dan Bugg at Penfold Press, a legendary printer, to do the honours, so one day (and half a morning), in his studio in Barlby later and we had 50 screenprints ready. It's a series of fragments, just like thoughts inside young Tony's head, as he rides around Hartlepool, in search of something. We don't know what, nor is it important. But as a 30 minute film, made by Scott whilst a student at the Royal College of Art (where I'd end up 30 years later) it's a sumptuous piece of moving image...
