Kickstarting the winter season 2023 is the year for Wintertide `Festival to excite, ‘IGNITE’ and mark a turning point for the independent festival. Taking over the historical Headland with three days of artistic programming that surprises and delights, transforming spaces and places to encourage people to see the everyday in a different way. 

This year the programme sees large sculptural build and burn working with renowned artist Alex Rigg, which will be ceremonially ignited during the closing finale. The re-emergence of the community lantern parade will connect and engage more people than ever with opportunities to get involved across the town. Day and night Art Trail utilising residential house windows, facades & gardens as temporary exhibition spaces with our Street Ambassador programme. Projected exhibition, performances, makers market & full music programme across the site linking with partner venues.
