Visitors with Limited Mobility

The Town Hall Theatre has step-free access from street level through the front entrance into the Auditorium, the bar, and the toilets. The only access to the first floor (including balcony seating and the Lauder Suite) is through various stair cases, there are no lifts available. The aisle of the tiered seating area does not have any form of handrail to support mobility up the staircase, this may cause problems for those with limited mobility.

We are able to provide seats on the ground level for anybody who may struggle on the tiered seating, however these seats are limited and it is advised to book in advance.

Hearing Support

The theatre is fitted with an induction loop system for hearing aid users.

Wheelchair Users

The front of house area is wheelchair accessible, in theatre style (raked seating) we can cater for up to 12 wheelchairs in the front row. The stage is wheelchair accessible with access from a lift from the front of house position.

Toilets

An accessible toilet is located in the foyer.
